RING IN THE NEW YEAR WITH ROMANTIC AMBIANCE AT GEJA’S CAFÉ

Geja’s Café, 340 West Armitage, will offer New Year’s Eve revelers a romantic repast featuring fondue and champagne in a festive, yet intimate, atmosphere complete with classical/flamenco guitar music.  Due to its overwhelming popularity, Geja’s Café will feature three special reserved seatings on Wednesday, December 31, 2008.  Reservations are available for 5:00, 7:30 and 10 p.m.

All guests will dine on the four-course fondue dinner complete with cheese fondue appetizer, salad, lobster, shrimp and beef entree and Geja’s famous flaming chocolate dessert fondue.  The evening’s packages also include champagne.

The 5:00 p.m. seating is $75 per person and includes a glass of Gruet Brut N.V. sparkling wine. The 7:30 p.m. seating is $95 per person and includes a glass of 2004 Gruet Blanc de Blanc. The 10:00 p.m. seating is $115 per person and includes a bottle of 2004 Gruet Blanc de Blanc per couple and party favors galore as the countdown to midnight begins.

Long known as “Chicago’s Most Romantic Restaurant”, Geja’s offers guests an enchanting setting; intimate, candle-lit wine cellar atmosphere, private booths and live flamenco and classical guitarists, together with an extensive list of fine, moderately priced wines.   Geja’s Cafe features fondue dining – food one prepares and shares – including entrée, cheese and flaming chocolate dessert fondues.

Hours for Geja’s Cafe are Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Friday, 5 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Saturday, 5 p.m. to 11:30; and Sunday, 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  Valet parking is available.  New Year’s reservations will be accepted beginning Monday, December 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m..   For reservations and information on the New Year’s celebration, please call 773/281-9101.
